Hi Alex,
6mm beads are typically used behind spawning sockeye. There are quite a few styles and brands of beads on the market today. We carry a large variety of colors and styles from Trout Beads, which are molded plastic. We also carry BnR Tackle’s Soft Beads. Both types can be very effective. For hook size we like to use size 6 or 8, depending on the size of the fish that we are targeting. 8’s for 20″ and under and 6’s if we are trying for larger trout.
