Rio’s Light Saltwater Shock Leaders are ideal when you need some extra abrasion resistance for fish that are spiny, have sharp gill plates or rough mouths. Think snook, baby tarpon or other assorted reef fish. These leaders are 10 feet in length and taper down to 16lb test. At the end of the 16lb section, a 25lb fluorocarbon shock tippet is attached. Each leader has a perfection loop in it for quickly attaching to your fly line.
