Brad, I've fished Coho's on many Kodiak rivers, over 10 trips in Sept, but never Red's. Going up during the best lunar phase in July next year. Tell me what flies to get from your shop. Granted, I'm primarily using bait casting set ups with fluro leaders and weights or floaters

Number 1 pattern: Mini Krystal Shrimp.
Other very good patterns: Montana Brassie – Tutti Fruiti, Montana Brassie – Red/Olive, Sockeye Lightning – Red, Sockeye Lantern – Green.
These flies will get you into the Reds!
