Flies for Petersburg

Hi Jim,

Here is a list of flies for fishing around Petersburg this spring and summer. 

The first five are for steelhead, the next five are for pink salmon and then I did a little bit of combining of species. The UV Mini Leech through the Honey Hole are for cutthroat trout and the odd resident rainbow you may encounter. Then the AK Clouser through Epoxy Mini Minnow are for Dolly Varden especially in the spring time. I then put in a small bead selection for Dolly Varden and cutthroat in July when they start eating eggs. 

Finally, since coho are mostly a fall fish, I only put two coho flies in case your son wants to look for a few early ones. 

The Salmon Leaders in 12lb are for steelhead and pink salmon as well as a possible early coho. The Trout Leaders in 2x are for sea run Dolly Varden and casting the heavier Clouser Minnows. The 4x leaders are for cutthroat trout when using the Mini Leeches, Honey Holes or dry flies.
