Answer:
Eye color for some fly patterns is importan. With Mr. BoDangles, the verdict could go either way. I personally like the chartrease/green eye as is “pops” in contrast to some of the other eye colors. But if you are looking for a little more subdued look, red or pearl eyes are the way to go. The most important thing to note with Mr. BoDangles is to use a large/heavy enough eye so that the fly gets the up/down jigging motion when you fish it.
