Wild Thing

Learn how to tie the Wild Thing and get all the materials for you to tie them on your own. The Wild Thing is one of our favorite salmon and steelhead flies.  Designed by local guide Cory Hansen as a searching pattern for salmon, steelhead, and big rainbows.  The Wild Thing proved to be an extremely effective pattern on the waters of western Alaska, B.C. and S.E. Alaska.  The rubber legs being tied perpendicular to the hook flutter in the water and the flash wing provides just the right amount of pop.
