Calf Tail is a slightly crinkly natural material that makes beautiful wings on medium and small salmon flies. We recommend using a hair stacker to even Calf Tail before tying it in as a wing.

Description
Calf Tail has long been used as a wing material for traditional salmon and steelhead flies like the Green Butt Skunk. It was also one of the original wing materials for patterns like the Royal Wulff, and parapost in parachute style dries like the Parachute Adams. To this day, Calf Tail remains a great material for creating wings and parapost.
