Blue Fox Tail – Arctic Fisherman

Description

Blue Fox is mainly used for tails and wings on salmon and trout flies. It is very supple (similar to marabou)and has great action in the water. Blue fox is not especially long, so it is best used on medium length wings like those found on a Green Butt Skunk. Note: All colors have dark tips. i.e. the pink is mostly pink in color with dark brownish tips.  Tying Tip: After snipping off a clump of fur, grasp the fur by the tips and brush out the short thick underfur. When you have the desired amount put it in a hair stacker to even out the tips and sort out the short fibers.
