The Kushy Tushi is our newest AFFG Exclusive pattern that came about as a wicked fly for tight lipped cohos on the YK Delta. As it turns out, king salmon and steelhead love this fly as well! Each kit comes with enough material to tie 12 flies total. Kit #1 ties 6 in Pink and 6 in Tutti Fruiti. Kit #2 ties 6 in Aleutian Queen and 6 in Nightmare.
Description
The Kushy Tushi is our newest pattern to earn its own tying kit. This fly is great for kings, coho and steelhead and is easy to tie. Our kit comes with enough material to tie 6 each of the pink and tutti fruiti color schemes. While these colors are some of the best producers here for us, the colorway options are endless. Initially designed as a coho fly, this pattern also works outside of Alaska for bass as well!
Note: A dubbing spinner is required to tie this fly. Our favorite is the Smhaen Master Dubbing Twister. The spring function closes the composite loop onto the Squishenille and helps with the furling process.
