Swing, dead drift or strip this wounded baby rainbow trout and get ready for some vicious grabs. Big predatory bows are always on the look out for an easy meal and the olive version of our Wounded Smolt fly is a prime target. The Wounded Smolt is an articulated fly with a bead in the middle that adds just a touch of attraction. The big eye, parr marks and bleeding gills act as a target for rainbows looking for some serious protein. Overall fly length is 4 inches.

A shaggy dubbed body has long hackle fibers wound through and then it is counter-wrapped with thin wire to give the fly great durability.
