The Black/Chartreuse Strung Out Rockstar is a killer swinging pattern for kings and steelhead. Big and gawdy, yet light and easy to throw!  Rockstars are approximately 4 1/2 inches long and are only weighted by a small conehead. A terrific fly to fish and cast all day long.

An absolutely wicked silver salmon fly! Our good friends at Angler's Alibi on the Alagnak River tipped us off to this color combo. A Hot Pink STS String Leech with a Chartreuse Head. Throw in a little wisp of Chartreuse on the tail end and the S.T.S. Leech was born. Swing this bad boy or strip it in and hang on. The Alaskan S.T.S. Leech (Super Tungsten String Leech, aka the Alaskan Salmon, Trout and Steelhead Leech) incorporates a little extra weight with tungsten barbell eyes. This allows the S.T.S. Leech to dance a jig as he strips across the current.

Whether you are fishing big rainbows in Bristol Bay and the Kenai or swinging for steelhead in Alaska and B.C., this fly will produce. The Midnight Crusher S.T.S. features a dubbed wooly chartreuse head and a chartreuse butt. Rainbows of all variety love this color combo and having a hint of color front and back takes it to the next level.

Fuschia Blue is the sneaky color combo that silvers and steelhead love, but no one else on the river will be fishing. It is one of our favorites when the coho have gotten sulky after seeing too many pink flies. It also teases ocean bright steelhead into a spat. Make sure to have a couple of these in your box.

The Popsicle Foxee Prawn is one of our favorite lightly weighted king and steelhead flies. Sometimes lighter is better and if you are casting all day long.

Orange is not generally the first pattern out of the fly box, but it is a solid player. Kings, steelhead and silvers all have days when orange is the ticket.

Scott Howell's Squidro has been kicking steely butt for years now, but there wasn't a tidewater king color. So we had it custom tied for Alaska Fly Fishing Goods using the Owner SSW Cutting Point #1/0 Octopus for extra penetrating power. Even the rubber legs are a custom color.  Go for the win and try him on a river near you!

The word is out: Dolly Llamas are murder on Coho. We took the legendary Tutti Fruiti color combo (Pink & Chartreuse) and added it to our Dolly Llama line up. This has become one of our top silver producers!

The Blue and Black Trailer Trash is large in profile but very light weight. A lack of lead eyes make this one of the easiest to cast king and steelhead flies. This dark shaded pattern is ideal for late season and upriver fish that have turned off the bright flies.

The Pink/Black Hareball is a classic "upriver" fly for silvers, kings and chum. It has just the right mix of dark with hints of attraction. Salmon that have been in the river for awhile are suckers for this fly!
